Barcelona, Spain, Europe

Beautiful architecture from the most famous historical architects, an outstanding food market, a beach and lots of shopping, did I miss anything? The city has so much to offer to travelers with an art appreciation and a considerably large budget. Although the main part of Barcelona offers high end shopping, the walk through the city is priceless; and the memory is somehow even more valuable.

Curaçao, Caribbean Sea

Like any Carribean island, Curaçao is famous for its beautiful beaches, colorful downtown, amazing snorkeling opportunities, and big lizards. Taking no more than half an hour to get from one side of the island to the other, there is plenty of time to make multiple stops  on the way to the beach to experience every aspect of the culture. The Aloe garden, original Chi Chi store, ostrich farm and multiple private beaches should be added to everyone's Curaçao bucketlist.

Rome, Italy, Europe

One of the oldest cities of all time, it's hard to stray from tourist attractions when almost everything is an historical monument. And although almost every picture is bound to contain many tourists, this doesn't take away from the ancient beauty the city has maintained. Although Rome is famous for the Vatican City, Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, there is plenty for travelers to discover between monuments.

Luca, Italy, Europe

During a quick stop in the beautiful city of Luca, I was able to get a nice excercise as I sped-walked through the streets in order to see as much as possible before boarding back onto the bus. Luca offers a plentiful amount of shopping on narrow streets that lead into a plaza in the center with very unique architecture that will intrigue any traveler to snap a quick picture before continuing on exploring the alleys.

Florence, Italy, Europe

The famous Florence, Italy--ranked up there with Venice and Rome for the greatest tourist attractions--is known for its giant cathedral, sculptures and delicious gelato. Fortunately, the city is big enough and the attractions widespread enough, that travelers don't feel shoulder-to-shoulder with everyone else.

Assisi, Italy, Europe

The amazing view of the valley below, the contrasting white brick buildings with the deep blue sky, and the scarcity of people on the streets left me feeling at peace after visiting the heavily populated cities of Rome and Florence. For any traveler looking for a calming city after being overwhelmed with the rushing movement of tourist populated cities, consider this. This small Italian city deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

Pisa, Italy, Europe

Due to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, this city has grown to be a tourist hot spot. Thankfully the city offers the beautiful architecture of the Battistero and Duomo di Pisa or else the town would face a devistation when the tower is expected to fall in the next 200 years.

Austin, Texas, USA

"Keep Austin weird" is no joke. Once past the rather large University of Texas, travelers will have no problem discovering something new during each visit if lucky enough to travel to the city more than once. Austin's uniqueness with no chain restaurants or stores, the citizens and their fashion, and the huge variety of food trucks live up to the city's phrase. (Click the title to read more)

South Dakota, USA

It’s not often that travelers get around to South Dakota unless they live in it or near by. Sometimes it takes a little of going out of your way to end up in such a random state. By taking Interstate 90 from Illinois to Yellowstone National Park, I was able to experience some of the unknown beauties South Dakota has to offer. Just in my short, two day trip I experienced enough to convince me to come back and explore more. (Click the title to read more)

Wyoming, USA

Famous for many things, including Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and the Devils Tower, Wyoming is an outdoorsman's Heaven. From January to December, this state does not run short of activities, making this the place to go for anyone who admires stories of people escaping the city and heading into the woods. Utah, USA

Although the vast amounts of red rocks, dust devils and seemingly endless desert are made out to be dreadful, Utah has many untouched destinations for travelers looking for a throwback to what the land was like before the early settlers domesticated the rest of the west. (Click the title to read more)

Sonora, Mexico

Sea lions, tacos and adobe homes, Sonora is a cheap destination for how much it has to offer. Las Conchas' beach and downtown Rocky Point are two of the state's main attractions, because together they provide the exotic (but not luxurious) island feel. Sonora is the perfect place for a relaxed weekend getaway. (Click the title to read more and watch a video of my experience)

Arizona, USA

Forty-two percent desert, an elevation of 12,633 feet and the largest university in the United States, Arizona provides a diverse list of activities. Star gazing, hiking, rock climbing and clubbing don't even make up one-fifth of this state's exciting

opportunities. (Click the title to read more)

Roatan, Honduras

Similar to America's Hawaii, Roatan is a small island off of Honduras that shouldn't be mistaken for anything but paradise. Few chain restaurants and no sky scraping buildings habitat the island. Not to mention, some of the simplest, happiest living natives ever encountered in a foreign country. With something new to do every day in between those hours of catching some rays, this island will have all visitors wishing to stay just a little while longer, if not forever. (Click the title to read more)

Oregon, USA

Heading into the trip, my expectations of Portland were: engaging locals, unique fashion statements, lush forests, heavy rainfall and delicious eats. After just one short weekend, my expectations were not only met, but exceeded. Although Mt. Hood is so close to the city, it came as a surprise to be surrounded by vibrant, green hills. With zero expectations of the cityscape, it was a delight to have the perfect balance of historic and modern buildings intertwined as well as a river surrounded on both sides with entertaining little neighborhoods that offered the perfect escape from the fast-paced downtown area. (Click the title to read more)
